Bud Light's "Special Delivery" 2019 Super Bowl Commercial
This Bud Light Super Bowl ad is hilariously savage, calling out its competitors, Miller Lite and Coors Light for using corn syrup.
The commercial is also part of a bigger medieval marketing narrative Bud Light is using—successfully—to break into “the culture” as Andy Goeler, vice president of marketing for Bud Light said in an Ad Week article.
I think it’s a smart ad (obviously it’s smart, they worked with Wieden + Kennedy) but I think it’s even smarter to the first major beer company to start the ingredient transparency conversation.
It will be interesting to see how Bud Light’s competitors clap back.
